Secularism and privatization long before the quiet revolution
In the early 1940s, Marguerite Bigras sought to meet the needs of parents in the north of Montreal by providing them with a private secular elementary school. Founded in 1943, École au Jardin Bleu has met this challenge with flying colours, and over the years it acquired the excellent reputation that it enjoys today.
École au Jardin Bleu complies with the educational program prescribed by the Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec (MELS), while maintaining certain traditional teaching methods, including frequent dictation and grammatical analysis. As a private school, it provides an enriched program that prioritizes academic excellence. Our educational programs reflect the changes in modern education.
